Becker approaches sculpture as both a cultural and structural undertaking. Trained as an engineer, he holds a master’s degree from Stanford University, a background that informs how projects are conceived, reviewed, fabricated, and installed—particularly within complex institutional or public settings. This experience allows him to collaborate fluently with architects, administrators, fabricators, and construction teams, and to navigate the practical realities that accompany permanent work.
Commissions often arise from moments of lasting significance—leadership transitions, philanthropic milestones, scientific achievement, environmental stewardship, or family legacy. Whether figurative, symbolic, or site-integrated, each project is developed through a deliberate process that balances artistic intent with context, durability, and long-term responsibility.
In addition to portrait and legacy sculpture, Becker has undertaken projects addressing shared environmental and wildlife concerns, where commemoration extends beyond individual subjects to broader questions of place, coexistence, and collective responsibility. These works are approached with the same rigor and restraint as institutional commissions.
Becker is a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society. His work is held in civic, institutional, corporate, environmental, and private collections, and is fabricated for permanent placement in public, corporate, and private settings.
