Two bronze casts were created. One will be installed in Hollywood, at the Emmys Hall of Fame Courtyard. The second cast will be installed at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Orlando, Florida.

NATIONAL CITY FIRE HEADQUARTERS SCULPTURE
16th Street and D Avenue, National City, CA
National City Council commissioned this bronze sculpture for the City’s new Fire Station and Headquarters at the corner of 16th Street and D Avenue. The work honors the past, present and future Firefighters of the NCFD whose rich history began in 1887. The monumental bronze was developed over a year and a half with input from Firefighters and the National City Art Committee.

What, specifically, inspired the design? Was it a particular photograph, memory, something else?

In preparation for creating the POW Monument sculpture, the POWs wrote a few words about how it felt to be liberated. Below are their writings. The originals are now part of the Veterans Museum, Balboa Park, San Diego, California.
